Editorial Reviews

8 Fully-Animated Cartoons. When Daffy Duck first appeared in "Porky's Duck Hunt," he was a frantic, screwloose character--and he scored an instant hit with audiences. Daffy Duck went through several phases in his checkered cartoon career, but each change only revealed a funnier facet of an already first-rate character, marking him as one of the looniest members of the Looney Tunes family. Includes "Duck Amuck," "The Daffy Doc," "Beanstalk Bunny," "Deduce You Say," "Rabbit Fire," "Dripalong Daffy," "The Scarlet Pumpernickel," and "Porky's Duck Hunt." 1985. Color and Black & White. Animated, approx. 59 min. Not Rated. Original Warner Home Video

5.0 out of 5 stars Looney-Tooney Fowl, March 21, 2005
This review is from: Daffy Duck- The Nuttiness Continues: Warner Bros. Golden Jubilee 24 Karat Collection (VHS Tape)
For so many, the Warner Brothers cartoons characters have always found so many different ways of making people laugh. Yet, we always think of so many greats from the beginning like Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and other greats that have made us laugh throughout the years. Out of all of them, Daffy Duck had to be one of the first show-stoppers. The feeling of his cartoons have always been completely outrageous and wacky. While he had always been under the shadows of Bugs & Porky, he still keeps us laughing his looney way. Back in the 1980's Warner Brothers hit the nail on the head with the successful Golden Jubilee 24 Karat Collection, and the edition with Daffy Duck is really no acception.

Daffy Duck: The Nuttiness Contiunes is a compilation of eight wacky and wild animated shorts, that feature Daffy in the gioses of looney mayhem. The compilation mostly features Daffy under so many outrageous guises that have made him one of a kind in color, mainly from the late great Chuck Jones, and in black & white from looney directors Bob Clampett & Tex Avery. This collection shows Daffy from some of his best shorts ever including classics: like the influential Duck Amuck, where Daffy is teased by a mischieveous animator under the ink & paper, Deduce You Say, a delightful and wacky spoof from the Sherlock Holmes tales, where Dorlock Holmes takes on the Shropshire Slasher, Daffy's first cartoon Porky's Duck Hunt, as Porky goes out duck hunting to a series of wacky duck, including a unknown Daffy, and Drip-Along Daffy, where Daffy takes on Nasty Canasta for the job of sheriff and a huge reward, but misses out to his comic relief, Porky.

Daffy Duck: The Nuttiness Continues is a very delightful animated reflection from Warner Brothers. his one is a pure delight for anybody who is a fan of the classic animated mayhem. While many may consider right now the Looney Tunes: Golden Collection, this is a enjoyable video to own. I honestly suggest you try to find this one used, and see the looniest of Daffy Duck.
