ALL TRUE WARRIORS!,
This review is from: Daggers Drawn - Second World War Heroes of the SAS and SBS (Hardcover)
Mike Morgan does it again in his book "Daggers Drawn" which is a treasure trove of vignettes on Britain's most colorful and heroic individuals to ever serve in the most elite units in Britain and arguably the world. The book covers the exploits of these individuals while serving in Special Boat Service/Squadron (SBS) and Special Air Service (SAS) during the early years, which revolves around World War II era. Many of the gentlemen (Paddy, Sterling and other great unsung heroes) are "plank owners" and were integral to the evolution and expansion of these units in post World War II. This book brings light to other historical works giving them much more character and understanding of the individuals and not just a cursory blurb. I highly recommend this book for the true military professional and historical military reader. I would also like to recommend you read Mike Morgan's book "Geordie - Fighting Legend of the Modern SAS" about another great warrior.
