5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent tool for kids who hate to write!
I found this book to be an excellent tool for my 1st grade son to practice his handwriting. He absolutely hates writing, and has a bad habit of forming letters the lazy way. We're using this book to work on letters one at a time, and have found the daily layouts to be especially useful for this. 2.0 out of 5 stars Wrong cursive style for my Nine-year old
I could not get enough details about the style used in this book. It happened to be all wrong and different to how my nine year old had learned to write.

I found this book to be an excellent tool for my 1st grade son to practice his handwriting. He absolutely hates writing, and has a bad habit of forming letters the lazy way. We're using this book to work on letters one at a time, and have found the daily layouts to be especially useful for this. Each Friday portion has an extra long portion to complete, which is a good review for the week's letters. After a few weeks, he is conscious of forming his letters better, and his writing is more legible. I plan to buy more books for my younger children to help them out too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practice makes perfect!, October 31, 2004

This review is from: Daily Handwriting Practice :Traditional Manuscript (Paperback)
This book delivers exactly what it proposes: daily handwriting practice. The easy to use format gives teachers a product that is practical and economical. By copying the pages back-to-back, you use one sheet of paper for a week's worth of work. The text provided allows for reinforcement of many concepts across the curriculum. The illustrations are clear, pertinent, and can be used with students of any age.

I use this book with my second grade students. They look forward to each week, and complete these willingly. We are perfecting our manuscript handwriting in preparation for cursive. I would reccomend any style of the handwriting books by this author.

My son is in 2nd grade and has horrible handwriting. We started using this book to remind him what the letters 'should' look like. With in 2 weeks we saw a difference & he is doing much better. Even his teachers are impressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally found a handwriting curriculum my wife likes!, December 7, 2005

This review is from: Daily Handwriting Practice :Traditional Manuscript (Paperback)
Personally, I couldn't really tell the difference, other than I know she prefers teaching handwriting using more traditional styles. Whatever the reason, long after we settled on other curriculum choices (for more info, go to my blogs from my member page) my wife wasn't happy with any of the handwriting curricula we used.

It took us ten years and countless tries before we finally found the Evan-Moor Daily Practice Series, Traditional Manuscript and Traditional Cursive. It is simple and effective.
