I go this game a couple of months a go and i think it is sooo cool!!! its really realistic and you get to choose what amounts of training, food, and lots of other stuff that your horses need to survive, you can either race your horse or have a jocky ride it, and racing on the internet is fun to.... one of the best parts is when you get to train your horse by working it up race by race thn hes gets really good.. I would recomend this game to anyone!!

Horse Racing:Sport Of Kings........GREAT!,

I've played this over and over again....it's great! I just wanted to say: first, the lobby is excellent. Just one problem though, the server is really bad and either the race pauses or the horses run backwards in the race. It needs to replaced or FIXED. Second(last comment) i'd like to say to that reader that was complaining that we could have only 6 horses that you can get more barns:(here's how) if you have a help menu for your hore racing game, it will give you a list of all the options in the game(hiring a jockey, how to control your horse, etc....)well, if you stroll down the list of options, you'll see"multiple barns" and you click on that. It's easy, and you just read what it tells you(note:you have to know how to copy and reaname files to do it)then you've got it! THERE! Now I just want to say: THIS IS A GREAT GAME AND I RECOMEND IT FOR ALL RACING FANS! Thank You.

Horse Racing: Daily Racing Form- Game Review,
By Joe Kool (Cheneyville, LA) - See all my reviews

My wife, 3 kids and I played this game for about 15 hours finding it to be entertaining. We especially liked being able to select, develop, race, bet, and breed our horses. However, the game lacked the depth I (daddy) was looking for. I would rate it 5 stars for people aged 5-14 as my children loved playing and found it to be somewhat challenging. Perhaps, it would rate as high for older people if we raced our friends online; we have not explored this option yet.

I really enjoyed playing Horse Racing. I recommend it to any horse lover ,or anyone who wants to learn about racing. The game teaches you how to manage your own money and barn. You can buy your own horses, buy a stallion and mare and then breed. Do not hire a jockey they don't win and it's fun to race the horse yourself. With betting you can earn more money. They also have Trivia to win money off of. The only thing is the IP address but you don't need it unless you want to race on the internet. It is a really great game!

This game is absolutely fantastic! Not only do you get to choose from over 100 horses, you may still breed your own champs! The game holds a lot of surprises, too. If your questioning this game, be sure to buy it. Superb game!

This game is awsome! The only downsize (that I know of) is that a) I can't find my IP address but that's not the game's fault and b) you can't train your horse every morning on the track. You just say you trained it. Anywho, I HIGHLY recomend this game1 iT IS VERY GOOD! :-) :)

Sport of Kings,

A great game. Great graphics and humorous additives. Not as very in depth. Only problems are that you can only have a stable of up to six horses and sometimes the internet racing lobby isn't active. No glitches in the game.

Good, but not perfect,

This game is very good, but not quite what I was hoping for. I mean, only six stalls?! But once you get going you'll love it. Here's a tip: in the beggining of the game, go straight to the race menu. DO NOT BUY ANY HORSES YET!!! Select the "Magnolia Derby", and click OK. Skip the "Enter Horse" screen, and go straight to the "Post". Select "Place A Bet". Select "Show" for bet type. Don't select win! You will lose huge amounts of money! If one of these horses are in the race, select them. The horses are in order from best to good. Lookout, Artful Dodger, Boogaloo Baby, and Blue Suede Shoes. BEWARE: ALL HORSES HAVE THEIR "PEAKS", SO ONCE THEY ARE DONE BEING GREAT, STOP BETTING ON THEM!!!!!!!!! THE NEXT HORSE WILL TAKE ITS PLACE. After you selected the horse, select the amount. Don't go higher than 10,000 in the beggining. You can bet more money later on. The limit is 25,000 for the BIG tracks. Anyway, after that, select OK, then place the bet. If you do this successfully a few times, You'll have enough to buy a decent horse. I' ll leave leave the racing to you, because thats the fun part! But DO NOT select a champion trainer. Select "Local Expert" and put speed training for 4 days a week. Select "Experienced" for farrier and put the horse on "Average" for amount of food. Make sure to name your stable!! Thanks! Happy Racing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome for horse AND race lovers!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Daily Horse Racing (CD-ROM)
Every other horseracing game I have ever tried has either catered to the horse lover, or the racing lover. In other words, always been not at all real, but with cute horse graphics, or been very statistical, with no horse graphics. This game has it all, adorable horses in tons of different colors, markings, whatnot, AND real racing-type stuff, such as different rankings of trainers (and the better ones cost more, like RL!), better or worse farriers, even different amounts of feed, and types of feed to juggle with. It's really an awesome game, and the on-line racing is pretty good too, though I'm just getting the hang of it.... The 3 things that could make this game better are more stalls (you can only have 6 horses at a time), foals rather than horses that are automatically forwarded to 2yrs when they are bred, and different lengths of tracks (and maybe different footings, dirt and turf, and different weather?). Over all, I'd say this is the best horse game I've played (even better than my wonderful Riding Star! heehee), and it's got a fantastic price... See ya around, Winter Rose Stable

Addicting,

This is a terrific game!It has all kind of things for you to do! It's very hard at first, since you have to make a lot of money in order to not sell all you horses as soon as you buy them. If you're parents are hesitant, you can tell them that it helps with money management skills. Believe me, it's is really fun. There are only one or two problems. 1.Is you only get six horses.2.It is really addicting. Once you start, you almost can't stop! |
