I've been using this book in my devotional times and it has been so enriching to listen to the voice of God through different means! The questions helped me go deeper in my relationship with God and I've been more attuned to God's voice and have been more aware of His leading through this journal. Thanks, Steve & Evy! What a great resource - and it was also great to spend time at the Mark Centre this August!

What I love about Steve and Evy Klassen's book, Your Ears Will Hear, is how they approached the topic of listening to God. Instead of writing an instruction book saying, "Here's how to listen, you follow a, b, and then c, and Jesus speaks", they took a reflective approach. It's those stories of intimate reflection that lead the reader into a place of personal reflection and listening to God. Instead of writing a formula on how to have God speak when and how we want him to, they've given us opportunity to reflect and let Him speak when and how HE wants to. Which is perfect. I'd recommend this book to anyone. Young, or old, pastors, missionaries, the unemployed, students, business persons, parents, and grandparents, etc. It can be used to teach, preach, or reflect personally as you journal. Basically, if you love Jesus, and want to hear His Spirit speak into your life, Your Ears Will Hear is a must have for your devotional routine.

I have gotten so much mileage out of this resource, and I am not done going through it myself. Just again today I used it to respond to one of our teams of field workers in Central America. I have dreamed of writing a book since I was in high school. If I write one, this is the type of book I would want to flow out of me. Practical. Simple. Encouraging.

Religious extremists around the world all claim to 'hear the voice of God'. Many of us in the western hemisphere dismiss even the possibility of hearing the voice of God as part of what makes up the dysfunction of religious extremism. I have really appreciated the grassroots approach of this book to understanding our journey with God. The book is filled with stories - stories of every day life experiences in which God reveals himself. Opposite each story there is a blank page - for the reader to reflect on their own life and begin writing their own stories. The book focuses on five common ways in which people encounter the presence of God and learn to listen to him. The practice of journaling my own life stories has sharpened my attentiveness to the reality of God's presence. Working through this book helps to move me away from a reactive religiosity and into a reflective faith in God, revealed as I encounter him in the unfolding story of my life.

Steve and Evy have hit it out of the park with this book. I great aid in learning to listen to the voice of God. I give it away often to those I mentor and highly recommend this book to those both new and old in the faith. Thought provoking and encouraging. Practical in application. Touches the mind and heart.

This book was given to me by a friend. I have been pressing into hear God's voice for sometime now and God is using this book to help me along the way. It is simple and profound. I usually am not crazy about devotionals as I prefer to engage in the Scriptures and apply personally however I have enjoyed these nuggets because each one presents a new angle in which God speaks to us. Some I am familiar with, some are new to me. There is nothing greater in this temporal life than hearing the personal and intimate voice of God.

This is a thought-provoking book that simplifies the idea of listening to God and inspires one to live such a lifestyle. Not a book filled with formulas or disciplines; it is instead an invitation to pay attention to the sometimes small and sometimes not so small, voice of God in our lives. It's one pilgrim sharing their life experience with another. An everyman's workbook that is written with a window into the very souls if the authors, Steve and Evy Klassen.
