Jill Briscoe did a wonderful job with the topical reading tracks. She starts with the basics and builds concept upon concept, using both Old and New Testament scriptures to illustrate God's love and plan for all people. As I read through the Scriptures and Jill's devotional thoughts, I am amazed all over again with the consistent theme of redemption from Genesis to Revelation. If you've never spent much time studying the Bible, this is an excellent way to get started.

Jill Briscoe did a wonderful job with the commentary. Many topics women face today are addressed with scriptural answers. Some are single parenthood, relating to your husband, your personal relationship with God, and raising Christian children.

The translation used is the New Living Translation, which is the one I prefer to read, and study in my daily devotions. Combined with the commentary, this makes the Bible accessable to today's woman.

I LOVE this Bible. I'm committed to daily reading and life application. Last year I read the One Year Bible, and it was a great re-introduction into the word. But this year, I wanted to delve a little bit deeper into the word to get a better understanding, with a simple guided plan.

It took me 2 months to find this, I've had it for 3 & I don't know how I survived without it. The daily readings are plainly written & easy to read, understandable, educating & inspiritational. The layout is very easy to follow. Most study Bible's are a little complicated to follow and contain crowded text formats.

So now, my Uncle is getting baptized for the first time and I am so excited for him. I wanted to give him a gift in a gesture of support, that would inspire him and keep him on track spiritually, something that would give him a better understanding of the word and what it is to be a Christian man and walk in faith. I went to Barnes and Noble and they had exactly 3 study bibles to chose from, and I didn't like any of them. Finally it clicked! I needed to find what I had, but in a men's version. Thank God, I found it here on Amazon. The only problem is that it's out of print so I'll get a used a copy. But there is no doubt that this book is a truly a wonderful blessing, and I am happy to spread the word about it!

This is a wonderful book. I have purchased more than half of dozen of these bibles (including the "Daily Study Bible for Men" written by Jill's husband) for gifts for people that need God's Word in their lives (including Pastors!). The book is very easy to follow and understand. You will be walked through passages in the Bible that relate to a specific topic; there are various subjects from knowing God to stress/doubt to parenting to marriage to leadership in your community. Jill does a great job summarizing the passage and relating them back to her own experiences. This is a must have in every Christian woman's study collection!

I have tried several times to stick with a reading program to get through the bible cover to cover, and this is the only one that actually makes me want to keep reading on. I try to do one or two pages of 'devotion/study' a day, and sometimes it's really hard to put it down! It is very well written, current and easy to understand and the track it walks is so relevant and simple! I love this bible - it is my favorite one yet!

I received this Bible for Christmas...and I LOVE it! I have always been more of an NIV kind of girl, but I am really getting into reading this BIble like "a book". What I mean by that is, I have always had to use devotional books to help me be able to get into reading the Bible. But with this NLT version I have read all of Genesis already, and it has kept my attention and I can't wait to read more the next night. I still like to use the NIV to go along with my devotional books and while listening to the Pastor's sermon...but prefer this book for "reading". I recommed this Bible to any woman who is struggling with understanding or getting into BIble reading. It has changed the whole way I look at the Scriptures! I understand some people have a problem with the NLT because it is not the closest version to the original translation...but this is how I look at it: It is getting people to read the BIble that could not understand it before. Reading this version of the BIble is better than not reading any version at all, eh?
On a side note, I really enjoy the "devotional tracks" that can be found through out this Bible. It works reat for daily devotionals, and looking to seek out more information on a particular issue.

I am glad I chose this Study Bible. Wish it came in giant print. However, the content makes the print size able to overlook!!!!!!

I bought this Bible from Jill Briscoe when she came to speak at our church. I like it, because one can study themes throughout the Bible with devotionals and page numbers to follow throughout. I bought one for a Christian inmate at a local prison. She had no Bible study helps and loves this Bible. Now, several others in that dorm want one.

I purchased this Bible after this translation was recommended to me by oneof the counselors at church. After becoming a Christian over 40 years ago I found it difficult to understand what God was really trying to say and relating it to my walk. So, I admit, I wasn't reading the word and growing like I should have. This is easy to read and understand and has inserts of a personal experience of a woman that applies to what you are reading. I bought this book for my wife last Christmas. She liked it so much that I recently bought one for a good Christian friend. She says that although she has read the bible for many years this has been the most helpful one ever.
It makes an excellent Christian gift. I also have Daily Bible Study for Men for myself and read it every day and find the added pages very helpful in my everyday living.
