2.0 out of 5 stars Cryptic crosswords, December 28, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Daily Telegraph Big Book of Cryptic Crosswords 17 (Bk. 17) (Paperback)
This cryptic crossword came from England. It is extremely hard, much harder than anything I have seen from the US. I don't know if they use words differently there, and that causes the harder clues, or what. I did not enjoy this at all. I like them to be tough, but I like to be able to answer at least some of them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like having W H Smith in my home, September 10, 2009
This review is from: The Daily Telegraph Big Book of Cryptic Crosswords 17 (Bk. 17) (Paperback)
Having visited England many times to visit friends I got hooked on the British Crossword Puzzles. My friends sent these puzzle books to me by mail after it became a problem for me to visit them. I always felt badly about putting them out to purchase the books and then having to post them to me until I one day happened to search Amazon.com and there they were!!!!! Now it's so easy to get these books and, using the "free shipping" makes it even better. The books have always arrived in good order in a timely fashion. No problems. Thank you Amazon for being my personal W H Smith book store.
