Been a huge fan of British style crosswords for a long time. I particularly like the Daily Telegraph style. I have completed quite a few of the Big Book of Cryptic Crosswords. This one is my favorite. The usages are contemprory and the word puzzles are quite challenging as always. Thanks Amazon for offering a US source for these books.
For those who have not done British crosswords, they are quite different than the US style crosswords and take time to get used to. Let me give you an example - the clue is Witchcraft(10) and the answer is Broomstick, taking the literal meaning "transport device for a witch". Some of the clues involve anagrams, double meanings, literal meanings etc that really challenge ones command of the language. I find the British style crosswords more fun to do just for this very reason. But it can be quite frustrating to those who are used to the NY Times style of crosswords. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Product in good condition but delivery on the first attempt dismal, second attempt much better, all together too long a wait.
