Product Description
daily ab workout
The In-Out Teaser hits your upper and lower abs
Work Those Abs!

If you're looking to tighten and strengthen those abdominal muscles, Daily Ab Workout is the app for you. Core exercises such as abdominal workouts are important because your core is where all the body's movements originate. The abdominal muscles work with your back muscles to control trunk motion, such as twisting and bending. The abs also help support and protect the internal organs.

Three Challenging Routines

The Daily Ab Workout app offers three different ab routines for both men and women. These five- to ten-minute routines guide you through 30 of the best ab-sculpting exercises. Demonstrated by a certified personal trainer, the exercises target all major abdominal muscles to strengthen your core and tone your abs. Select a specific workout or randomize them, and choose to work out for 5, 7.5, or 10 minutes.

Each workout will make your belly earn its paycheck. For example, the first workout includes a Basic Crunch, Right and Left Oblique Crunch, Bicycle Crunch, Reverse Crunch, Long Arm Cruch, Crossover Crunch, Half Curl, Vertical Leg Crunch, and the infamous Plank. The other two workouts are just as tough and comprehensive.

Easy Interface

The simple interface of the app, complete with animations and a timer, allows you to easily follow along and understand each exercise. Let Daily Ab Workout be your personal trainer, and your stomach muscles will thank you.

This is a nice exercise trainer and motivator. Having this on your Kindle Fire means that with a simple touch you have an app that will show you the exercise, time you, has a video to show you the proper form and a has step by step instructions for each exercise. You can set the exercise time to 5, 8 or to 10 minutes and set one of three exercise routines. You can also use a Random exercise mode or a Custom exercise mode.

This app does not request all of the unreasonable permissions to take over your device. The video is smooth and the app works well. The only down side for me was that the sound was loud. The volume adjustment does not work on the Kindle Fire for this app so it's either the highest volume on a Kindle Fire or completely turn the volume off. It would be nice if they would fix this so you could adjust it or have it default to the volume setting on the Kindle Fire. The volume did work on my Samsung Tab 4.

Overall it is a good app and who doesn't have 5 to 10 minutes a day to work on their abs. Now you can start it while commercials are on TV and almost get the 5 minute routine done before your show comes back on.

Permissions:
* Full network access
* View network connections

This app does contain Flurry Analytics which monitors your in app behavior.

The app installed in 12.09MB into my device memory. I manually moved it to my SD card and it left 1.10MB in my device memory and moved 12.25MB to my SD card.

Minimal Permissions - Does run OFFLINE (I went into the App first time while OFFLINE - No Problems)
12.21mb Device Memory - Movable to Internal USB / External SD Storage (KitKat 4.4.2)
Flurry Analytics - not so happy with Flurry in an app that requests Biometric Identifiers (Gender, Age, Weight)

Video looks great although could be longer clips, yet these short clips are far better than the usual text-book illustrations and does keep the really small file size... well, small. No issues with volume control. Looks like the dev team has been updating/tweaking fixes fairly regularly.

All in all, I am just not happy with Flurry being present in any app featuring a caloric counter feature. These caloric counters require certain biometric values that regardless what anyone may assert, do count as Personal Data. Additionally, the Privacy Policy included in the app:

"Daily Workout may use and disclose to Daily Workout's partners and contractors the collected non-personal ((and they mean the biometric information too)) data for ... advertising serving..."

"Daily Workout reserves the right to use and disclose the collected non-personal data for purposes of advertisement by Daily Workout or Daily Workout's partners and contractors."

The Privacy Policy continues on, and they do assert they protect Personal Data, which laudable and would ameliorate the issue. The problem here, and the same problem I had with a Caloric Smart Bracelet that used a caloric tracking app (that app didn't have analytics, but it did have the ability to autonomously upload/download information), is that biometric values are not considered personal as it doesn't associate a name with the information. I disagree... strongly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great exercise app February 9, 2012
I agree with the other reviewers. You feel great after you do every workout no matter the time interval. I can feel the targeted area getting stronger and it feels great. And like everyone else I started with the free one and upgraded to this one. I will most likely be getting the other exercise apps in this series. and for a dollar you cant go wrong.

2.0 out of 5 stars wish all the apps could be sold together. March 1, 2012
Might be better if put together as a package and charge about 3 dollars. The whole paid series costs 5 dollars in total. That is a little too much for a full workout app, 3 dollars would be more appropriate. Nobody just does their arms or legs that I know of. Would be more saleable as an all comprehensive workout app. People would buy that more than bits and pieces of a workout if it was good enough. The videos are good and I like the small size of the app compared to what you are getting.

The free versions only, not this one, do require full access to the net, phone state and identity to get your phone number and serial number, and access anything they want off your SD card files with the ability to read and write to the SD. The paid versions of all the apps do not have the permissions. Somehow I feel a little bothered by that. Ads in the free versions with net access to show ads is not that bad. Just bothers me on what they doing with the info on customers phone IDs and numbers and things off of the SD card that wanted to try out their apps before paying. Just makes you wonder about the integrity of the dev here asking for more than ads and net access for a free app. At least the paid versions do not have this, so you have options to fork out the cash for each app in the series if you wanna dance with the data miner wolves but also keep them at bay so they dont bite you.
