Works too good. My 10 year old learned to use it right-away and got fairly good as shooting it, except he was not as careful about the things in the background which got him a rise in temperature on the backside.

My 10 year old son received this for Xmas, and he loves it! His first shooting session was in a large open area with a steep grassy incline behind his target. He loved the shooting, and next I explored ways to shoot it in our back yard without any damage to our home, or our neighbors homes. Found that magic combination. Snagged a large shoebox that a pair of hiking boots came in. Son sketched a big target on the bottom of the box. Set it up on an old chair, a few feet up in the air, in a corner of our yard, with ALL homes out of the direct line of fire for near-misses. This worked well, and he recovered a few shot from the ground around the target. Much better, when we discovered that many of the steel shot went through the thick cardboard, and was trapped inside the box! Thick cardboard kept it from punching through the second layer after the shot punched through the 1st layer. We simply opened the box, and retrieved a handful of shot to use again, and hopefully, once again.

Not the best power, but pretty good for it's price. Don't buy ammo, just shoot rocks out of it.

If you are a good shot, you can dispose of backyard bird pests if you make headshots. Not recommended though.

I bought two at local hunting store. First one opened had a manufactures defect (torn band at juncture with metal prong) the second lasted at most 40 shots before the leather tore at the juncture with the rubber tubing.

Between the potential hastle of having to return the B52 for a defect or having to replace the band the first day, I don't recommend this item.
