I am not a teenager. I bought this guitar because, well, it looks fun!? And maybe a little inspiring on stage!? As for sound, it's what you'd expect from a guitar in this price range.

Interestly, it has a humbucker and a single coil pickup with a three position switch. The guitar is light. It'd be hard to find an airline that would argue about this for carry on - though it still exceeds standard dimensions. It keeps it's tuning a little worse than guitars in the price range. If you are a standard adult, you may find this guitar rides a bit off from your hand position compared to a regular one.

The manufacturing quality in the model I received was acceptable. The unit was made in China. There was a lacquer flaw along the neck which left a small portion unfinished near the fifth fret. Aside from that everything else was fine.

For their approach to guitar design, I give 'em an extra star. I wouldn't call this a novelty. It's a fully-functioning real electric. If you want something unique and fun with comparable performance in the same class of guitar, I say go for it.
