I bought this for my photography hobby... I take a lot of pictures of my family's kids, my kids, you get the picture. BUT, I am a one man band, and it's hard for me to get a child to look at me, make them laugh, hold a camera, and get a good picture! So, this little "skeleton hand" attaches to the flash hookup and grips different things that catch kids attention. I usually just put my cell phone in it. For my 6 and 4 year, we have a farting elephant app that makes them stare at my phone, laugh, and i can actually get a good shot. The only downfall is that I think it should be about $10 less. It's only the hand to grip something else, and if you have a flash, you have to purchase an extension hookup thing.

DO NOT LEAVE home without it! The best investment you can make, especially if you are photographing children!
Easy to operate, and carry {packing great in your bag!} Light, sturdy as well...
Also a great conversational piece! Like I said - Best of products we carry in our gear bag! And we abuse it! REALLY!

I purchased this item to use for family photo sessions. I was trying to find something I could use to keep kids' attention, and I like the versatility of this item. I like that it maneuvers very easily, and can easily hold whatever will keep the child's attention. The one drawback is you can't use this and an external flash, but not many of my sessions are done in a location which requires flash. It definitely has helped with the sessions I have had since I bought it.

I just got my DaisyGrip and I have tried my iPod touch 5 with it and it works great. Perfect! I will get to try it in the field on Wednesday, so I'll be able to give a more thorough review. :)
