I made her flan recipe and followed it exactly as written. It made twice the amount mentioned so I had to cook up another batch of caramel. It also took longer to cook. Has anyone else had this experience?

I am making this for the first time. It is still in the oven and we are going on 2 hours. I am an experienced cook and I know I followed the recipe exactly. What gives with this?

Hi Barbara, As you can see from my post early in the year, I had the same problem. I e-mailed Daisy's site and they said the recipe was incorrect. Really irked me since not only was it incorrect on her site but also in a book of "best recipes from famous cooks". Can't remember what they mentioned to correct...was too upset about how it was handled to save the recipe.
