The Dakes Bible is so easy to understand. With it's ref.on the side it can help you totaly understand God's word. I've had mine for 25 years and I love it. It has never failed to help me know God's word or plan for my life. This is one of the greatest books ever printed in the K J V. I wouldn't take anything for my Dakes Bible. I Love It So Much.

The Dake's Bible was an awesome purchase for me. It has everything I need for studying the word of God. It was also at a great price too! I brought a Dakes bible (small print) over 25 yrs ago, now it hard to read and I needed large print and I found it here at amazon.

My grandmother has wanted this bible for a long time. i got it for her and it arrived today. she absolutely loves it. she says its definetly the best bible shes ever owned. she is so excited to have gotten it and im super happy i was able to get it for her. i got her the large print king james version in burgandy leather and its beautiful...its a GREAT gift for any christian.

I first got acquainted with the Dake bible in 1986, when my dad who was a pastor bought one for me. When I opened it up I was overwhelmed. Information overload! I was not quite ready for it at that point in my life. Now, 25 years later, I reopened it up and fell immediately in love with it. So I bought this newer large print edition, and I can't say enough good about this bible. I am finding things out that are changing my beliefs in some areas due to the facts that are presented, and I mean tons of facts. Cross reference scriptures, end of chapter notes, comments, a concordance for every word in the bible which also references related topics, scientific facts, on and on. Between my wife and I, we own over a hundred bibles, and we both now are using the Dake exclusively. Hands down. Even though we both prefer the NASB95 and the NKJV over the KJ versions, this is well worth the change for all the added information.

The leather is really soft and pliable, and folds open flat. The bible is a bit larger than a usual bible, so I use it on a dinner tray when on the couch, on a table if not. It's not really a hand held bible like the pastors use while standing before an audience. It's just too cumbersome. However, the large print is really nice and well worth the inconvenience.

A nice feature too is that if you also purchase the compact version of the Dake, the vinyl lets say, the page numbers and format are identical between these two. Just two different sizes. I use the compact vinyl imitation leather version too, which is much easier to take out of the house.

This large print version comes in a really strong tight fitting box. It's a hefty thick enclosure. I keep my bibles in their original boxes most of the time, as they are easier to keep on shelves that way. This big bible really needs to have a good box, and this one is the best I've seen. It's at least a double thickness box.

When I bought this Dake, I had about given up on the sometimes ignorant comments that so many of my bibles have. One in particular is a Ryrie, and some of the comments just mimic the scripture, seemingly to take up space with no added insight. Another is a New Spirit Filled Life Bible, (which was my favorite until the Dake), and many comments go out of the way to water down many of the healing scriptures. I like my comments to be just the way a scripture reads, and not to take them out of context. So I had pretty much taken comments for granted. Now with the Dake, I study and stay consumed in facts and comments that can take me from page to page while I forget where I started from. That's a good thing!

The references are ridiculous in this bible. I just can't follow the KJV and the Dake really helps. There are some hard to answer bible passages that he really puts into perspective. It's like having all of a pastors notes. I sometimes check what he says against what I understand after spending some time meditating on a scripture. Often times he offers a different perspective that encourages additional thought.

This bible is great, it is the only bible you will need because it breaks down every scripture for your understanding. I have used this bible for over 6 years and it gave me a desire to study more, and it has bridged the gap for me from the pulpit to the pews. Because of the use of this bible I have a better understanding of God's Holy Word.

EXCELLENT BIBLE, EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE. MY PASTOR HAS A REGULAR PRINT AND LARGE PRINT ONE. LARGE PRINT IS EASIER TO READ.
