Customer Reviews

I would recommend these gloves!

The size large didn't fit my 18 year old son, it barely fit my lady size medium hand.
What's up with this guy?
I'd recimend getting a thicker, more insulated pair of gloves.

First of all, don't expect this thing to keep you warm (or dry) out in any kind of fluffy, powdery snow. These gloves are nice and lightweight and you can actually do more with your fingers when compared to the full size gloves out there.

Use them as sunny day park gloves, or when shoveling in the yard. They do get wet easily since theres not much waterproofing in them. Once they're wet, they will freeze up stiff and it's not fun at all.

These gloves are great, although they are a little thin. If you are wanting something that is insulated, these are not for you. I like them though, I'd prefer maneuverability to insulation any day. My hands are 3 3/4" W and 8" L and a large is just a tad tight but not too tight to be uncomfortable. I would recommend these gloves! I got "Stripes" and they look very cool!

I bought these gloves since they were the cheapest priced ones at the store. I was getting back into snowboarding (first time in 3, maybe 4 years) so I didn't want to risk buying more expensive gloves & end up not liking the sport. I used these 4 times in the late 2011 season (Late Feb.) so I tested this out on man-made snow, fresh snow and slushy and thin, spring weather snow. I have the all black coloration and they look nice. Some cool detailing going on, the inside of the hand has some...kind of grip that feels good. My rental snowboard didn't slip out of my hands so that seemed to work well too. I liked the dexterity of these gloves, that would probably be one of the biggest selling points on these things. There's some light insulation on the inside that make it comfortable. Oh, and it also has clips towards the wrist that connects both gloves together so you can store them and not worry about loosing a glove. That said, now that I know forsure I'll be snowboarding for a very long time, I'll be buying new gloves for the upcoming 2011/2012 season. All 4 times I went, my hands got soaked within the first hour like another reviewer mentioned. During the day we went when fresh snow was around, my hands were really freezing and eventually painful so I had to take the gloves off for a while since the water was just trapped in there. Because of that, I purchased a liner for these gloves to use on my 3rd and final time of the season. That brought the gloves to $50, which at the point, I should have just purchased regular snowboarding gloves. The liner eliminated the dexterity(maybe it would have been better had I gone a size up?) and kept my hands a little warmer but water still got through the Dakine gloves pretty fast and eventually through the liner too.Read more ›

These are great gloves, and although they may seem thin, they are very nice. I however, needed to return for a bigger size. i have a L-8 in, W-3 1/2in. hand, and i needed a Large, i would advise these gloves, just make sure you get the right size! Altrec also has very speedy shipping, as well as an easy return policy. Great buy!

I bought these gloves a few weeks ago. First time I used them is when i went snowboarding for a trip. They look great with my jacket but they arent warm. Within the first hour of snowboarding, my hands were wet and cold. I'd recimend getting a thicker, more insulated pair of gloves.
