It features an adjustable chin strap to keep it on your head (or tuck the straps in if it's not an issue), a removable legion flap to keep the sun off your neck all made from a quick drying SPF fabric, and this hat is designed to float. I bought this hat for my boyfriend who kiteboards and sunburns very easily. It worked really well to keep the sun off his face and neck. The chin strap fits comfortably, and is snug enough that the hat never came off even when he wiped out. And it actually looks pretty cool.

Very strong during wipe-outs and neither comes off, nor does it hurt! Does a great job of blocking the sun off the face and neck. Its durable and I wear it even when not in water (though the plastic buckle does slap against the cheek when unlocked). I also find that I don't need to wear earplugs when surfing since the sides block the slapping waves even though they are relatively porous!!
