Effective Meat Flattener,

This solid, one-piece meat tenderizer makes short work of a chicken breast, flattening it quickly and evenly - it's heft and broader than average surface aided in the flattening process. The tenderizing side of this mallet also works well. The weight distribution feels a little top heavy, but that's probably a side effect of it's effectiveness.
I wish the handle were a little bit longer and less tapered for my male hands. The shortness of the handle didn't bother me when tenderizing, but did make it feel like I would lose my grip when flattening meats (my pinky finger was half off the end). I never did lose my grip, but would would have felt more secure if the handle had a vinyl coating and/or were an inch longer. |
