The tools are well-crafted, just as described. Comparable Japanese tools from other sellers were priced so high I never thought I could afford the tools needed to complete the bonsai package I was giving away. For example, the concave cutter alone can cost as much as $80-90. This set includes almost any tool you'd need for novice bonsai care, and the price can't be beat - especially with the canvas bag, which is nothing special, but it keeps the tools organized and can cost $10-12 alone.

I'm just a Novice, and this kit makes me super happy. I feel like I have the right tools for the job, and they are good enough for as much as I know. I love rolling out the canvass, and using my special Bonsai set, then rolling it back up when I am done.

This bonsai tool set is just perfect for the beginner or novice gardener. High quality; easy to use; nice selection of tools in a nifty canvas-type holder.
