This is a carefully organized, beautifully illustrated history of the Cowboys, who have been characterized as America's team for the last 20 years. It begins with an account of last season's Super Bowl victory then heads back to the beginning, when the team entered the NFL as an expansion team under young head coach Tom Landry in 1960. The Cowboys were winless their first season but began a steady climb in 1961, which resulted in an appearance in the 1966 NFL championship game. This will rekindle many memories for football fans: Bob Lilly, Chuck Howley, Lee Roy Jordan, Bob Hayes, Roger Staubach, and Don Meredith are just a few of the great names to wear the blue and white. Of special note is Guinn's attention to the team's scouting and administrative groups, who contributed to the Cowboys' success through the seventies and eighties by acquiring better players through better scouting and drafting. AWESOME BOOK!!!! A MUST FOR THE COWBOYS FAN!,

This is a great book and I recommend it for the serious "Boyz" Fan. It has great pics and everyone that comes in my home browses through it and comments how nice it is. There are also autographed editions of this book and they are AWESOME as well.
