Tom Gillam is very good.He does some very good rock here with a touch of alt-country. This is a great cd.Go to Amazon.com or You Tube and check him out, then buy a cd. I got the cd at Amazon.com, a great place to buy new and used music.

Everyone should find this guy and his band!,

I just saw Tom Gillam and Tractor Pull at a club gig near Philly last weekend. My good friend is bassist Tim McMaster's cousin and my buddy has been bugging me to see the band for a while. I am sorry I didn't go years ago. These guys are great. Tom Gillam is a real talent. Fabulous singer and writer and slide guitar player. And his band rocks! They each are tremendous players. Country Rock or Americana is probably the name of the genre, but there are elements of of alot of great artists rolled in Tom Gillam's music - Joe Walsh, Eagles, Tom Petty, Dwight Yoakum, Allmans, the great Southern Rockers like Skynyrd, Tucker & Outlaws, Joe Ely, etc. The one hour set I saw was way too short - I could have listened quite a bit more. These guys are moving south to the Austin area and will tour around. Go see them - you will become a fan.
The Dallas record is great. I just bought it off itunes since it cannot be found new here. The title song should have received major radio airplay. Tom Gillam should be better known. I have just ordered his two latest from Amazon and cannot wait until they get here. If the discs are half as good as Tom Gillam and Tractor Pull are live, they will receive alot of airtime with me.

a must have,

This CD transcends labels or genres. Some call it Americana, some call it Country Rock, to me it's just flat out good stuff. Tom Gillam is a singer songwriter slide guitar player whose talent shines through on every track of this cd. With subtle hints of Joe Walsh, Gregg Allman, Pete Droge, and Dan Baird, Tom blends many of his own influences into a unique style that is fresh and captivating. This now lives in my disc player, where it gets played over and over. Tell your friends about this one, they will be thankful you did.
