Book Description

Palisades Pure Romance July 1, 1998
Adventure is what's missing in her life, decides competent, no-nonsense Lacey Robbins. But Jack Dalton, the attractive man she literally runs into at the skating rink, isn't exactly what she had in mind. Neither is using her accounting skills to untangle the financial mess Jack's troubled brother has left him. Jack is attracted to Lacey, but he has all the responsibility he can handle-certainly too much to take on a woman raising her sister's four children! But when Jack and Lacey finally learn to surrender their worries to God, surprising things happen-and they find themselves in the midst of the greatest adventure of all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Read, August 15, 2009
Dalton's Dilemma is about Lacey Robbins, a CPA who's been made guardian over her 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Telling herself at the beginning of the book that she is going to start having more adventure in her life, she takes the kids to the roller skating rink and decides to try out some skating herself. After falling for the umpteenth time, she manages to run into Jack Dalton, a jewelry store owner that specializes in custom-made jewelry. The two of them hit it off on the spot, and Jack ends up asking Lacey to come work for him to straighten out his store's financial records and such. Once Lacey starts working for Jack at his store, the two of them begin to realize their feelings for one another.
After a few days of hanging out with Lacey, Jack realizes that she is in charge of these 3 (1 is in college) children. This is WAAAAY out of his comfort zone, but he gradually learns to adjust!! Jack is also still grieving over the recent loss of his brother, and blames himself for his brother's death.

This is a wonderful story of the grace of God, and the inability of humans to go through life without God's help. Humor is sprinkled throughout, and it is just an all-around great story!
