the who with strings, March 27, 2010

though at the time i thought it was a bit over the top,but as we mellow with age at a second glance its was a pretty darn good effort.its nice to have most of the concert now on cd,although i don't get why THE SEA REFUSES NO RIVER has been left off,the original release was a single disc and it was included there.i especially like the version of AFTER THE FIRE with the chefftians.i haven't check out the dvd release,if it differs from the original which i do own.if you enjoy the who you will like DALTREYS effort here.though none of the versions can touch the classics that these songs have become.very enjoyable collection of songs.
