Product Description

Two Against The World

Explosives expert Sebastian Fontenot has patience in spades-whether he's deactivating bombs or gritting out three days beneath a pile of rubble. But when the hard-bodied operative learns his oldest friend is in trouble, he flies into action-and ends up on the Artic Circle, where a sexy scientist holds clues that threaten his mission-and her life-.

Olivia Corrigan can handle men. But Sebastian Fontenot is like no other she's encountered: hot as hell and in danger of thinking he can order her around with that delicious drawl of his. Lucky for her, the mesmerizing mercenary is on her side. And it's a good thing, too. Once they stumble onto a horrifying international cover up, it's up to Olivia and Sebastian to keep their hands off each other just long enough to keep a dangerous power from falling into the wrong hands-.

"A fabulous writer! Fetzer rocks!"-Cherry Adair

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, October 19, 2010
This review is from: Damage Control (Paperback)
I've always enjoyed this author, but not this time. So much of the writing is pointless and the action drags through the middle of the book. The plot is completely implausible. A waste of time and I struggled to finish it, hoping it would get better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disconnected, disjointed and just plain bad, September 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Damage Control (Kindle Edition)
Spoilers??? I am a big fan of her previous books and was eagerly awaiting Sebastian's story. However, this book lost me in the first few chapters and I never found any way to tie it together. There are several characters in the first few chapters who appear to be integral to the story, but then are dropped. Viva calls her "Uncle Vlad" but there really isn't any point to it that I can find other than she just made a phone call. There are so many players, it is impossible to tell the "good" from the "bad". This is so disappointing on so many levels, it was just a waste. I really cannot even tell what the ending of the book was supposed to achieve.
Even the relationship between Sebastian and Olivia is just too contrived and actually a bit ridiculous. She stumbles (literally) on him after divorcing him some time ago because...well, that isn't exactly clear why she divorced him..she apparently just up and left because he was gone a lot.. and suddenly realizes that she shouldn't have divorced him and gosh, everything is just great now so let's get married again???

1.0 out of 5 stars Usually a fan, did not enjoy this at all!, August 16, 2010

I have read and enjoyed several Amy Fetzer novels previously. This novels parallel/connecting plots were extremely implausible almost incomprehensible. Most unfortunately this book was spectacularly un-romantic & un-sexy. There was almost no character or relationship development it was sacrificed to a lot of detail supporting the implausible plot. This book is attempting to be a cross of James Bond, the Da Vinci Code, Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Abyss it fails on every front.
