This is an amazing story, it touches some real issues that can affect young girls, and brings light upon a sad but "real" subject.I couldn't stop reading! It made me feel so many emotions, touched my heart and moved me to tears..AS a mom of 3 daughters it made me aware of how real domestic abuse is, at any age. I think that this is a story for all age groups. A real eye-opener!!The author told a great story and touched all the areas of domestic violence, and how many people deal with the pain after being in a bad relationship. Very Knowledgeable! Highly recommend.

I loved this book, could not put it down. The characters felt so real you could not help but feel for them and hope for a happy ending to their story. Great book for mothers and their teens, could foster good conversation! I can't wait for this author to publish another book!

I have just finished reading Natalie's Story.

This novel has an incredible emotional impact!

It is the story of a courageous teen girl whose relationship with an abusive boyfriend forces her to cope with many tough traumatic events.

As I read this book I came to truly care for Natalie and found myself rooting for Natalie as she struggled to find respect, dignity, peace of mind, love, happiness, and a normal life. After reading this story, I don't think I'll ever forget Natalie.

The book touches on many real-life topics - teen friendships, teen romance, abusive relationships, young motherhood, family life, and alcoholism.

The story is quite an emotional rollercoaster. I was devastated by Natalie's tragedies but elated by Natalie's triumphs.

If you're interested in a great story, great characters, and a work that will inspire you to be the best person you can possibly be, then nothing could be better than to read this!

You will never forget Natalie's Story.

Natalie's story is very touching. It shows just how true the phrase Love is blind really is. Natalie believes in Josh's love for her so strongly that she doesn't see the danger until it's too late. Natalie's life changes so drastically in such a short time that she has trouble dealing with it. Her thoughts and emotions are so honest that the reader can feel them as well. It's a heart wrenching story of love, family and friendship. Though it's not based on a true story, it is a very serious and true situation for a lot of young teenagers who refuse to reach out and ask for help. I read the story in one sitting as I was intrigued by young Natalie and what she was going through, I spent two out of three hours crying my eyes out. Talia Jager wrote a beautiful story sharing her characters emotions through her words and built up much anticipation as Natalie strived to change her life for the better. I recommend this beautiful story to all the readers out there and I am greatly anticipating reading "Teagan's Story", I have no doubts that it will just as emotionally beautiful as this one.

Come follow a teen's most important battle of her life!

This story starts out with Natalie Jarrett and Josh Kory, two high school teens, meeting, dating, and falling in love. At least, Natalie thought it was love until Josh suddenly turns very abusive and drags her though a very tumultuous relationship.

Tragedy strikes and Natalie must rely on her family and friends to totally rebuild her life. Her sister, Miranda, having a similar past, is very influential in her days of recovery from Josh's brutal attack. Follow her journey as she faces many trials and tribulations before she can finally put the pieces back together and find peace within herself and love in the end.

This is the fourth book of Talia Jager's that I have read, and I must say that I am totally impressed. She writes such strong and dramatic story lines with her teen characters. Her descriptions are very vivid and you feel as if you are right there with them.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys teen dramas! This is a definite must-read!!

This book was graciously provided to me by it's author for my honest review.

I recommend Damaged, and The Footbridge for people who understand the challenges of high school and especially for people who are in abusive relationships. Both books share heart wrenching love stories. Damaged is about a girl who is the subject of physical abuse from the boy she loves, The Footbridge is about a girl who is ignored by the boy she loves. These books are serious, but still fun.

Damaged: Natalie's Story is such a heart wrenching story about a teenage girl who has to overcome major obsticles after being in an abusive relationship. This is completly out of my genre of reading. I have never read anything like this, I usually stick with fantasy. The author asked me to read this and I agreed. When I started reading it I just wanted to put it down and move on to something else, because I don't read these type of books. I am so glad that something told me to go ahead and keep reading. Once I started I did not want to put it down.

Natalie is a seventeen year old girl who falls for the charming guy Josh. Everything goes great until he gets angry with her and then the abuse starts. Each time, it gets worse and each time Natalie takes Josh back. She feels it's her fault that she is making him mad. The last time Natalie ends up in the hospital clinging to life with permant brain damage. The story then follows Natalie's struggles with learning to talk, read, write and do all the normal things we take for granted. During her struggles she becomes depressed and turns to alcohol to take away the physical and emotional pain. She continually blames herself for what has happened to her. Along the way she improves physically but it takes the love and support of her friends and family to help her put the past behind her and move on. I loved the ending.

This was such an emotional rollarcoaster. There were so many ups and downs, I was frustrated with what Natalie was doing to herself once she started to get better. The writing was done so well, I felt like I was one of Natalie's friends. I have never been in a situation like this and cannot even begin to imagine what someone like this goes through. I am so glad that I read this, and I am recommending others read this.

This e-book was given to me by the author for review. This did not affect my review in any way.
