Book Description

March 5, 2001
When Hannah Cooper and her children pray for the salvation of their Jewish friend, Jacob Kates, they have no idea what it might take to see that prayer answered. Mary Beth Cooper has said that, if need be, she'll give her life to see him become a Christian. But will she have to prove it? Thousands of devoted Lacy readers will find out in this eighth installment of the Hannah of Fort Bridger series, which continues the saga of a widowed frontier woman's faith-filled journey through the hardships and joys of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heroine of Near Death:, December 17, 2005
This review is from: Damascus Journey (Hannah of Fort Bridger Series #8) (Paperback)
Mary Beth, in this novel, reveals she owns the same heart as her mother, Hannah. Mary Beth is definitely the shining star of this book. She is one who is willing to forfeit her own life to bring others into the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Hannah still captures your heart as a woman of faith who is able to place all dreadful circumstances in the hands of Christ. This is one of my "Fort Bridger" favorites!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great book in this series, August 16, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Damascus Journey (Hannah of Fort Bridger Series #8) (Paperback)
Hannah has endured great hardships in this series, but her faith in God never waivers. In this eighth installment of the "Hannah of Fort Bridger" series, Hannah faces another hardship, her daughter Mary Beth has been shot and is near death. Hannah continues to put her faith in God and is a wonderful witness of God's love to her beloved friend and employee, Jacob. The Lacy's have given us characters that we can care about and their example of living a Christian life is something we can apply to our modern day lives. My hope is that the Lacy's will write another book in this series to develop the relationships that were beginning to blossom.
