Greatest album and artist Ive heard in a long time... No pop country stuff here!!!, July 29, 2009
This review is from: Damn the Luck (Audio CD)
I bought this album because I was going to see Lucky open for Hank III in concert... and as it turns out I now am a bigger Lucky Tubb fan than I am a Hank III fan!!!! This is one of my favorite country albums of all time I must say... I put Lucky's album right next to anything out there by Waylon Jennings or Willie Nelson... He is that talented!!!! amazing songwriter and the melodies on this album are top notch...
His first album is just as amazing!!! I recommend it just as highly if you can find it... BUY THEM BOTH!!!...I promise you wont be dissapointed if you like old time true country music!!!

A must for any CD collection!, July 12, 2009
This review is from: Damn the Luck (Audio CD)
I was raised with country music, with all the great classics. But as I grew, I switched to rock, hard rock ect...And Lucky Tubb's music is honestly the only thing I can say, that Ive heard, that has brought me back to listening to country music again. The pop country and mainstream music scene has nothing to offer me and cant equate to my Country music upbringing. So When I got this CD, I was really impressed! From the first sounds that come off the CD,(Used up Love), You'll get goosebumps. Lucky Tubb's music is the real deal and is amongst my thin collection of country music CD's. If your a big country fan or not, you will appreciate this CD for years to come, and is a tribute to the classic country sound.

Damn The Luck, September 12, 2010

Lucky Tubb is the great nephew of Ernest Tubb and this is his second album. It has that old country feel to it and was recorded live in the studio in one day. The songs "Huntsville", "Honky Tonkin", and "Damn The Luck" are my favorites. From start to finish it is just a real solid album and I will be buying every album he releases for sure.
