This product works, but is a huge mess to try to set up. The dry chemical is finer than the mesh on the dome lid, so it falls through if you tilt the product at all. The review said that it would last for months, but my chemical melted completely away after only two weeks. It did collect water, but it didn't seem worth the mess and short-life.

I got this thing not expecting it to work. I got it for my game/movie room since it's very humid and I have a lot of electronics and CD/DVD/Bluray discs there. I have to say it works great but the only downside of this thing is that when you're ready to replace the thingy or empty the water inside, you can really make a mess... and in my case, with all the electronics, it can turn out to be disastrous.

All in all... it works great!
