4.0 out of 5 stars The travel guide for men
This guide is perfect for the man with a road warrior type job. Very up to date. Clearly written and a great way to find things to do when you have downtime in a city you are not that familar with. Great even for those cities not known for their gay friendliness!

3.0 out of 5 stars Useless if travelling outside the USA, December 28, 2007
By
Bookguy (Melbourne, Australia) - See all my reviews
I bought this travel guide to assist in planning my trip to Europe. However, the guide is over 80% devoted to the USA and very few listings of anywhere else. A mere 50 pages of the available 716 pages is devoted to Europe. Spartacus would be a much better option if you are looking to travel anywhere outside the USA. For my purposes, I found this book very disappointing. I guess it may come in useful if I decide to tour the USA in the near future.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, April 5, 2007
Listings for destinations of interest to me in the Caribbean were nearly non-existent. Those that were in the book were outdated, some by years. Well-established locations and businesses with which I am familiar were not included. I have to assume the same level of omission and inaccuracy occurs throughout the guide and I wouldn't plan my travel based on this resource.

1.0 out of 5 stars aot to do about very little, November 10, 2006
This review is from: Damron Men's Travel Guide (Paperback)
There are many of us that would like to know what certain

places offer - places that pique our curiosity and in some

cases, longing. That is why the Damron book seemed tantalizing.

But, alas our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Lots of addresses

lots of places but no sustenance. Just lists, and more lists and, more

lists. How about descriptions, opinions, facts of interest, details(not

essentially long but novel or of interest) Lousy buy for the money.

Settle on Damron if you'd like--but realize there is much better. Spartacus. For a few more US dollars, you get a much better picture of the entire globe. Buy Damron if you never travel internationally. Spartacus if you like to collect passport stamps.

Good on USA but very little on Europe. England and Ireland were very disappointing and sparse.
