The boots arrived quickly. The leather seemed dry and rough. After 2 days of wearing the boots inside the house I decided to wear them to go shopping. There is a seam on the top of the toe box that rubs against the top of my foot. When I got home I noticed something that looked like it was stuck to the left boot. It turned out to be the surface of the leather flaking off. Now there is a big patch on the side of the shoe where the surface of the leather wore off. There was nothing rubbing or scratching against it to cause this; the leather is so dry it just pealed off. This is a manufacturer defect. I won't be buying Dan Post boots again.
