This fly wheel turner is used when working on clutches, transmissions, installing rings or other jobs that require the crankshaft to be in a specific position.  The hard plastic handle helps to keep a grip. When rotating the crank shaft, hook this tool into flywheel teeth to rotate.

This little item is just what the doctor ordered. It's easy to use and I'm able to generate enough torque with it to properly tighten the torque converter bolts with no slipping.
