"Dance Academy" features the struggles and successes of a young heroine, Tara Webster. Initially, the show plays much as a fish out of water tale as Tara leaves her rural existence for the dream of attending the National Academy of Dance in Sydney. She certainly isn't prepared for what she'll find, with great highs and surprising lows. As she continues in her travels, though, the program expertly integrates the rest of the cast into a thoughtful teen ensemble. You show is humorous without being snarky, and covers important issues without being overtly preachy. It's a winning combination and easy to like. Through all of the personal drama, the show never fails to impress with the dance element. There's is no denying that the cast can dance, and it's a joy to watch.Read more ›
