Excellent Reissue From Rock's Golden Age,

Carl Perkins has had very few of his original albums re-produced for modern listeners in any format. I don't understand the other reviewer complaining that it sounds like the tracks were taken from the old records. well, where else are they coming from? not like there was any such thing as digital mastering int he 1950s.
The prize here is the re-release of the album, which is tracks 1-12. The original Blue Suede Shoes, Honey Don't, Matchbox, and Boppin' the Blues are the most known and probably the best. The bonus tracks are chosen well from old singles and whatnot. This isn't exactly deep cuts we're talking about, it's 30 tracks of rockabilly classics. The only complaint to possibly have is that there haven't been more Carl Perkins re-releases.

The Lp is great. I gave this edition only two stars because the sound is terrible. It sounded like they took it from an old record. Get the other edition (Snapper). A little more but well worth it.
