Five stars seems too high, but four seems a little low...,
This review is from: Dance Bitch (Audio CD)
The genius of Norman Cook's 'Dance Bitch', is that it offers so much for so little. Although this CD is essentially a mixed bag, it manages to span genres without ever losing its musical integrity. Something which is much easier said than done, and a feat which few other DJs or producers could aspire to.
This CD is a veritable mélange of dance grooves all built upon a phat big-beat foundation. Beats aside, it's really an eclectic bag of tricks that pulls influences from across the musical spectrum. and surely contains a track here for everyone. Something to satisfy almost every dance-music taste and something for every dance mood or occasion. There is not a single bad track on this CD and it's very difficult to single out the 'winners'. However, if I were pushed into selecting three notable tracks, I would include the following, in no particular order of preference: i) Kidda: The Sun (Herve's Ain't No Sunshine Mix) ii) Aquasky: It Will Knock You Out iii) The BPA: Toe Jam (Station Warriors Remix) It is really quite hard to convey how and why this CD is so good, only several listening later will the reader really feel the penny drop. But when it does I think you will agree that this disc will be a real long-player. Something you will still find on your shelf, long after other albums have been relegated to drawers and cupboards.

If you heard Big Beach Boutique and its sequels you're gonna love this one. Of course Fatboy Slim's studio records are awesome but I really love those "lives" he does around the globe. They are a lot of fun! If you're looking for some party music you should really consider this album.
