Lori R. Lopez writes novels, a number of book series, short stories, poetry and columns in a variety of genres including Horror, Fantasy and Humor. Available titles range from a volume of verse and prose based on her POETIC REFLECTIONS column to a collection of strange tales, OUT-OF-MIND EXPERIENCES, and CHOCOLATE-COVERED EYES: a sampler of the author's best horror tales. In 2012 she will release additional books including her award-winning novel AN ILL WIND BLOWS and digital versions for the OUT-OF-MIND collection and a Horror-Fantasy novel DANCE OF THE CHUPACABRAS (Tome One of The Tome Trilogy Of Trilogies).
While her primary focus is on novels and short stories, one of her many projects is an autobiographical book series about her life which features themes of abuse, family, and following dreams. Lori is a wildlife-eco-warrior and an advocate against Abuse through her prose, poetry, and song lyrics. An artist, she designs her own book covers. She also formed a band with her sons called Trilllogy3. In 2009 she joined Angela Shelton's Army Of Angels.
Her stories and verse have appeared in anthologies such as an H.P. Lovecraft tribute (Arcanium Axiom), DEADICATION (Panic Press), EPOCALYPSE (Pill Hill Press), I BELIEVE IN WEREWOLVES (Netbound Publishing), MASTERS OF HORROR: DAMNED IF YOU DON'T(Triskaideka Books), SOUP OF SOULS (Panic Press), THIRSTY ARE THE DAMNED (Rainstorm Press), and fifteen of Lori's poems were published for an anthology titled IN DARKNESS WE PLAY (Triskaideka Books), as well as magazines: GHOSTS AND HAUNTS; WOMEN EMPOWERMENT. She has been interviewed for THE BLACK GLOVE MAGAZINE. Lori is a renegade indie author who believes creative writing should not be standardized or conventional.
