Book Description

Julie, Lucy and Alia are BFF’s who share one passion: dance! Between programs in ballet and modern dance, they also slip in classes on many other styles including hip-hop, a class run by the hunk KT, who’s got all three competing for his attention. As they prepare for the ballet “Sleeping Beauty,” they’d love to see him play Prince Charming. Any girl with a love for dance and taking classes will find this gag-filled series irresistible!

5.0 out of 5 stars let the dance begin February 9, 2012
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Unlike the other new Papercutz books that has one story from cover to cover this one mixes in single page comic stripes sprinkled throughout the book. The Dance Studio has three dance teacher with Julie and Alia having a crush on the new Hip Hop teacher while Bruno the only boy in the ballet class has a crush of Julie. We also have frienemy Carla who is jealous of Julie and often makes fun of Lucie who has a normal weight rather than the extra skinny waste line of the other dancers. The majority of the stripes in this book lead to the kids performing Sleeping Beauty.

3.0 out of 5 stars Definitely assigned to the wrong age group October 29, 2013
By orizano
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a humor series aimed a teen-aged high school girls. Amazon definitely has it assigned to the wrong age group, While maybe not quite as entertaining as "Amelia Rules", it an OK series.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's just tu-tu funny! August 24, 2013
Format:Hardcover
Dance Class #1 is a cute graphic novel that will give the young (and maybe not-so-young) dancers in your family some good laughs. There aren't nearly enough graphic novels for girls, and I'm happy I discovered this one. The dialogue is funny and on-target for the audience, and Dance Moms will love it as well. Very good illustrations!
