Not much going for it,

I bought this book hoping for information on all dance forms. I was disappointed as 1/3 of the book is taken up by talking about ballet. There is plenty of information on the market about ballet and it was unnecessary to spend so much time on ballet. The rest of the dance forms discussed were limited to a several pages versus over 30pages for ballet -- and the ballet pages were mostly about the ballet theater group in Austrailia.If you are looking for some serious information on different dance forms, this book is not for you. If you want a very brief history of dance forms other than ballet, and lots of information about the Austrailian dance company than this would be a good starter book to own. |
