4.0 out of 5 stars Joyfully Reviewed!, April 8, 2008
This review is from: Dance of the Crystal (The Dance Series, Book 3) (Paperback)
Crystal D'Angelo is putting her foot down. She doesn't want to go to
the charity bachelor auction and she definitely does not want to bid on
a bachelor. Her beloved grandmother, however, thinks differently. Once
at the auction, a man does spark her interest and before she knows it,
she has outbid everyone for him. Nervously she watches him walk
towards her and she loses her shoe. Climbing under the table to look
for it, Crystal finds herself being carried out to the ballroom over
the shoulder of an irate bachelor.

Soren Thorvald can't believe he let himself be talked into parading in
front of a bunch of old women like a side of beef. He becomes livid
when his "date" refuses to come on stage and claim him so he takes
matters, or rather his date, into his own hands. Striding off the stage
and swooping her up, he throws her over his shoulder and exits the
ballroom. When he realizes that Crystal wasn't avoiding him but
looking for her shoe, he is beyond embarrassed. Apologizing for
frightening her, he tries to put her at ease. His attraction to this
tiny woman has him on edge, and unbeknownst to him, Crystal feels the
same way.

Things are about to get exciting. It seems as if an unknown stalker is
watching and waiting on Crystal, and, her time is running out because
the stalker knows that she is no longer as pure as she used to be.

Dance of the Crystal made me melt. Actually, spontaneous combustion
might be more along the lines of what I felt reading this book. Soren
instantly became the object of my obsession and totally endeared
himself to me, not to say however, that he isn't one of the most
stubborn and pigheaded heroes I have ever read about. He is. He felt
real to me because his childhood shaped the man he is and he has had to
work very hard to overcome his inability to love and trust. I adored
Crystal. At the risk of being hurt, she decided to go after her man and
nothing was going to stop her. Add a bit of suspense and the terror of
an unknown stalker and I was satisfied.

Dance of the Crystal, the third book in the Dance series by Cris Anson
is just an all around, highly erotic, wonderful read. I adored the
first two books of this series and this book is just as well written,
if not better than the other two. Since it is the third book in a
series, I recommend that the first two books, Dance of the Seven Veils
and Dance of the Butterfly, be read first. However, if that is not an
option, Dance of the Crystal stands alone on its own merit and will
leave the reader satisfied. There is one more brother in the Thorvald
family and I can only hope and wish that he's the object of Cris
Anson's next novel.

The book was funny and entertaining. I liked the Grandmother's character right along with the two main ones as well as the interaction between the brothers. It's nice to read a book that's funny, heartwarming and a good sexual read too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dance of the Crystal by Cris Anson, July 14, 2007
This review is from: Dance of the Crystal (The Dance Series, Book 3) (Paperback)
I liked this book. I liked it well enough to order Ansons Dance of the seven veils. This book was well written and the sex scenes were totally hot. Soren didn't know what hit him when he met Cystal. It took him a while to figure out what to do with her. It's a little slow in places but I can see Cris Anson is going to be on m favorite erotica author list.

Book 3, and hopefully there will be more. A great series that was hot, steamy, and filled with enjoyable characters. Highly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wanted: Alpha Male, March 19, 2008
This review is from: Dance of the Crystal (The Dance Series, Book 3) (Paperback)
I have read all of the books in this series and they are all hot. This one has a great story to it and the guy is someone you can't help but want to fix.. You can't help but root for the characters to get together. Why can't I find a hot guy to throw me over his shoulder?! Read the first 2 if you can before you read this one. You won't regret it.

Liked Soren much better than Magnus (Dance of the Butterfly). Lots and lots of hot scenes, but they're never boring. Crystal is a good combination of sweet and spunky. The writing, pacing, tension, etc. are decent. I do wish the story had ended as strongly as it started, though.
