5.0 out of 5 stars Super Chido
This was the first cd of Molotov that I bought and was "Super chido" Has a variety of diferent song styles and My favorite song is "Here We Kum" which is great. I think that you really have to know english and spanish to apreciate the "chido-ness" of this album. I highly reccomend this album for anyone even if they only speak one of the languages, because this album just...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as "Donde jugaran las ninas"
Like the title said, donde jugaran las ninas was way better than this one. Lyrics and music just seemed to be random and the whole style was more of rap than anything else, not worth being called rock en espanol, so if that's what you are looking for don't get this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Molotov..., October 6, 2003
This review is from: Dance & Dense Denso (Audio CD)
Molotov represents themselves well. Anybody who is taking spanish in school right now, this is the cd to have. The tracks that stand out the most have to be: Here We Kum, Frijolero and my favorite track Changuich A La Chichona. I like the dirty lyrics on this cd,spanish and english...

This cd rocks from the first song, and when I thought it couldn't get better it did. Consistently. Do yourself a favor, buy this music. Hit Me (Gimme Tha Power II) is awesome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable more if you understand the lyrics, April 29, 2004

I heard a past ignorant review about "lacking of lyrical content" specially on E. Charles White. It is hard to judge something that you simply don't understand because you don't speak spanish (mexican).
What seems to be a list of random names to the dumb ear, happens to be an interesting display of "double meaning" phrases with usually strong sexual content. If you have a Mexican friend, he will gladly explain you the whole disk. I can not write them here due to the nature of the explicit words that have to be used in the explanation of this song.

As this song, the whole discs is usually not understood or misunderstood. So buy it and judge it intelligently having fun in the process.

5.0 out of 5 stars This band really rocks!!, May 12, 2003
This review is from: Dance & Dense Denso (Audio CD)
The first Molotov album I bought and it really shocked me from the first track. I had heard their music, but I needed to confirm their quality with a whole album. Their lyrics are explicit and funny, their music is a mixture of rock, hip-hop, punk and rap, all in a perfectly driven mexican-style.
I recommend this album for all the public.

First of all , dont pay attention to all of the americans who say that they CD is not good, they dont know nothing of Mexico as a country. All they listen too is if the beats and music are cool, but they dont understand the real meaning of the lyrics. In my opinion to really really understand the lyrics you will have to be well informed about the curents situations in Mexico, example, Hit Me, in the song they talk about the Periferico and its huge traffic jams, a person living in the midwest wont understand this at all, as well as some of the messages that this cd gives you. So again dont pay attention to those americans that say the cd is not worth it, because it is specially to those true blood Mexicans like me.

Second this Cd may not be as good as the past ones but I believe its in the same category, if you liked the past ones then you will like this one, it still has the flavor that we crave for and it still has the same pridefull feeling of being a Mexican. So just dont listen to those Americans that dont even know nothing about Mexico, this Cd is really worth buying. Period

5.0 out of 5 stars buy it for frijolero, September 20, 2005
This review is from: Dance & Dense Denso (Audio CD)
I don't much care for most of the cd, but that one song frijolero makes it worth buying. A hilarious banter for the bilingual among us it is funny as can be, yet makes a serious commentary on US/Mexico relations. I first heard it on a friends MP3, and had spent a few months searching for that one song. Definitely 5 stars.
