5.0 out of 5 stars Devito's Best Album To Date!!!
Louie Devito's previous albums have always been good and fun to listen to, however not all of the songs he chooses to include on his albums work well together. His last album NYC Underground 5 was good in parts, but lost momentum towards the end, and the second disc was kind of a let down. Dance Diva's stands way apart from his other dance collections by far!!! Devito...

3.0 out of 5 stars Dance Divas Letdown
I wasn't too thrilled with Louie Devito's Dance Divas. I waited so long for this cd hoping more. Only 5 songs were good on the cd. Only 2 out of the 5 were good. I don't know, I think its because all the other songs past #5 on the cd got older and older. The songs on the cd ranged anywhere from (2003-1996). 3.0 out of 5 stars Dance Divas Letdown, April 21, 2003

The only reason why I really wanted this cd is because it had a song that I heard on WKTU that I really wanted. It's called "Making love Out Of Nothing At All" by Nikki A. That is a hot song other than that song and Ti Amo by Aria the cd stunk. It included Deborah Cox "Mr Lonely", Angie Stone "I Wish I Didn't Miss You", and Gloria Gaynor "I Never Knew", but thats all the songs that are practically new. Oh and Iio~ Rapture is ok too. I think artists like Alice Deejay, The tamperer, Charlotte, S Club 7, Ultra Nate, Leann Rimes, Diana King, Toni Braxton, and Sandy B shouldn't have been on it. Hint: (They are older Dance Hits that are played out and some of them sound like they should be on a KidZ Bop Cd or sumthin! Anyway other than those major flaws I never really disliked any Louie Devito CD's, but this one disappointed me. I liked Nikki A, Aria, Gloria Gaynor, Deborah Cox, and Angie Stone, but the rest of the mix from #'s 6-18 were not worth listening to except for the way each song mixes into each other. I give Louie DeVito props for mixing old with the new but I was expecting more new hits from artists like Reina, Tina Ann, India, Jocelyn Enriquez, Vivian Green ETC. I liked it but it wasn't enough to satisfy me. Now I have to wait for NYC Underground Party Volume 6 Hope it's better. (The Megamix on the cd was good though which was made by bad boy joe) It's A Cosi Cosi CD (So-So cd in Italian) LOL

Devito choose songs that work well together, and make you want to get up and shake your [rear-end] all over the dance floor. Dance Diva's is by far the best dance collection released so far this year. This CD is fun to listen to, and you will not get bored listening to it, unlike alot of the dance collections out right now. Dance Diva's is Louie Devito's best album to date. You should most definitly buy the CD!!!! Diva's rules!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Get it if you don't mind older songs, July 9, 2003

Granted some of these songs are old on the cd, but this cd is called Dance Divas so it will include singers past and present. Run Down:

1. Mr. Lonely -- I can listen to about a minute of this. I know Deborah Cox has a good voice, but enough already!

2. Wish I didn't Miss You -- I like this song, but I heard it a lot on the radio so I tend to skip over it.

3. I Never Knew -- She made a come back and it was good.

4. Ti Amo -- I loved this song when I heard it. I even saw them perform at a club, and they really aren't that bad. I love the beat.

5. Making Love -- This is my FAVORITE song on the whole cd. I play it over and over and over again. She just has a powerful voice and its just so upbeat.

6. Better off Alone -- I always liked this song, even though she says the same 3 phrases over and over again.

7. Rapture -- Old and overplayed. I did like it at one point.

8. Feel it -- Next..

9. Find Another Woman -- It's ok.. next

10. Skin -- Next

11. Sexual -- Always liked this song. Still good after all this time.

12. Never had a dream come true -- I like this song. A little bit on the cheese factor, but it does ok.

13. Gotta tell you -- I usually skip this one. I can listen to about a minute on this one as well.

14. Free -- Another ok song.

15. How do I live -- This mix is nice, but the song was never one of my favorites.

16. Say A Little Prayer -- I keep thinking "My Best Friend's Wedding"

17. Unbreak My Heart -- This has a disco beat to it. An improvement on the original.

18. Make The World Go Round -- Next..

19. Dance Divas Mega Mix -- Pretty good. I always like the mega mixes.

So you're probably wondering why I would give it 4 stars if I only like half the songs. The songs that I do like on this cd are very good, so I base it on them solely. I do think that the Underground Dance party series is a heck of a lot better and Dance Factory 1 is good too. (See my review...shameless personal plug) Overall a good first effort on a Dance Divas cd.
