If you've read the previous two Sinfest books, you know what this strip is about. This is at least as funny as either of its predecessors.

If you haven't read the Sinfest before, you might want to head over to [...] and give it a read before you buy. Before you do go, bear in mind that this is not rated G - MPAA would probably rate it PG for language and innuendo. This isn't for everyone - all things sacred are fodder for this strip. Religion, sex, relationships are all lampooned hilariously.

It's a wonderful webcomic brought into book form. The quality is really really top-notch (even better than "Life is my bitch" !).

A definite buy for everyone who has enjoyed them on the web ([...]

"Dance of the Gods" is Tatsuya Ishida's 2nd print collection of his popular webcomic, "Sinfest," that I own. This is an outstanding collection of his work both in drawing style and character arcs, which have both evolved to extreme elegance.

Ishida draws his characters mash-up anime style. By which I mean, CUTE. Lead characters are Slick and Monique and their friends. Key supporting characters include God, The Devil, and respective fan-boys and fan-girls. Also Pooch the dog and Percy the cat. Also, in this edition, Buddha, Jesus, and The Tao. In anime, four panels per strip, yet!

I discovered Sinfest several years ago. It's different. It's definitively American but indisputably Japanese. It's a mash-up. It's hard to describe - I send different strips to my friends when I want to share about cute pets, the nature of men and women, everyday temptation in life, being absolutely OK in life just the way things are.

The strips are in English with occasional Japanese. Ishuda is a master parodist, writer, and artist. The Sinfest series is so popular, it's got its own full-page Wikipedia article summarizing characters and story arcs.

Sinfest comes out once a day, every day, online, for the last 10 years. Sinfest print collections come out every few years.

Sinfest!

It's all been said before by other 5-star reviewers...and I crave other comics from Tatsuya Ishida - he is very good, too good for syndication, even!
