My go to song to make my smile in the office. This band has a lot of great music and they are worth checking out.

I discovered Delta Rae quite by accident one day. Their song "Down by the River" was being given away on Amazon so after listening to a small sample I figured why not. I love their unique use of chains as a musical instrument. I looked the group up on Google and discovered the official video for "Dance in the Graveyards" and fell in love. I lost my mother 4 years ago and the lyrics hit home. The driving beat and whimsical use of the drum sticks move the song forward and takes the listener on a journey through time, reminding us to not lose our loved one through grief but to celebrate their life and carry their memory forward through joy and not tears.

The official video for this song was my introduction to Delta Rae. I must have watched it a dozen times in the first 24 hours after discovering it, and countless times since then. Eventually had to get the mp3 so I could get my fix when I was away from the computer.

I first heard Delta Rae on one of the late-night shows and found I loved their funky, southern-folk style. Then I heard "Dance in the Graveyards" and watched the video. This is my favorite song right now and I've even made it my ringtone.

For those who have ever lost a loved one and wishes they could spend just a little more time with them, this song makes the point that they can dance.
