I enjoyed this story. The author is new to me and it was a random purchase as part of my review of the phenomenon of books on shapeshifters. This author's perception of the shapeshifters seems to be slightly different from others I have read. Especially what is a born Alpha. Abilities of her Alpha are more magical, more mysterious than in other books. Even her vampires are a bit different. There are many references to the Goddess and ancient laws. Something that allowed the progress of the relationship among the three main characters to go in fitting pace. The book is not quite a stand-alone, because there are obviously things we should know about. But it did not matter too much. My problem once again is the timeframe. Sixty years without a sign of life and within minutes of meeting each other again, the two males are in bed. Really!? Later in the book it is mentioned that they had bitten each other all those years ago so they could have sex, because they are fated mates. Even if you are fated mates, some explaining should be due? Anyway, I will probably be looking for the next book.
