I bought this toy for my granddaughter ... it slips and slides all over the place ... the console portion of it kept falling down. You play your own music and the beat of the music doesn't match the beat of the Dance Maker. She is 8 years old, loves to dance but was so frustrated that in less than an hour we decided it was a total bust and returned the toy ...

My daughter received this toy for a birthday present. I kept reading the instructions trying to figure out how to get the music to come on - I just refused to believe there was no music! You're supposed to try to follow along to the blinking lights, but the mat keeps moving and you can't keep up with the lights. You're supposed to turn on your own music, but the lights won't match the beat. Even my five year old thought this toy should be returned. How many kids are willing to give up a birthday present?!

the concept is fun and you really can get a good physical work out, but there is no way to stop the sequence of lights on the dance pad until the cycle is complete. That's frustrating the cycle last 3 minutes if not longer. There is no on/off or pause switch. There is no information on what the dance sequences are suppose to look like. It reminds me of the game simon as a floor mat I guess it is ok.

We spent quite a while trying to turn on the music...til we found out there wasn't any. Our 8 year old found it interesting for about 5 minutes, but that was it. She jumped around on it with her 4 year old cousin a year ago on Christmas day...hasn't been touched since. Total waste of money.

I received this game for Christmas 2003 and even the person who got it for me thought it was rubbish and said so. I coudn't beleive there wasn't any music until I had spent 10mins looking for it. The levels were rubbish too. one level was really slow, the next level slightly faster and the last level way too fast. If you tried putting music to it the dance doesn't fit to the music.I spent 5mins playing with it and then put it away for good.
