5.0 out of 5 stars Bring back the romance, the magic and the joy, October 13, 2000
This review is from: Dance Naked in Your Living Room: Handling Stress & Finding Joy (Paperback)
I bought this book because Michael Webb recommended it in his excellent "Romantic's Guide". I expected a book showing creative (and romantic) ways to cope with stress and pressure, and I wasn't disappointed: This wonderful little book is stuffed with helpful ideas.

Instead of drinking, eating, shopping or whatever short-term solution you subscribe to, Rebecca Ruggles Radcliffe suggests creative, cheap and healthy ways to relax and get in touch with your self again. The solutions range from obvious to weird, but there are plenty of things in between that strike you as great ideas - and you keep saying to yourself: Why didn't I think of that before? And the best thing is that to each of us, different thoughts seem obvious, different suggestions weird, and different ideas strike us as just right.

So this book should be helpful for everyone who is looking for ways to relax in this fast paced world, and bring back some of the romance and magic that seems to be missing. The best thing by far is that once you've read "Dance Naked", you keep coming up with ideas of your own.

(Other books you might find useful to make your life more romantic are the "Romatic's Guide" by Michael Webb and "Creative Romance" by Doug Fields. You don't have to accept every idea they come up with - just browse and sample, collect your own store of ideas, come up with a few more . . . romance is good for you!)

5.0 out of 5 stars O what fun to use as book report material, December 11, 2005
This review is from: Dance Naked in Your Living Room: Handling Stress & Finding Joy (Paperback)
As the title implies, I purchased this book for a book report in my Stress Managment book. Once I had read through it, I had decided that by itself, it was not enough for the report.

There are plenty of good suggestions throughout, the best being thinking of your own stress-busting techniques. I also like how Rebecca used things her daughter said as appropriately placed quotations.

Another great thing from this book is that Radcliffe touches on subjects that people tend to take too seriously, and still presents it in a gentle way.
