5 stars for Tall Paul only, April 24, 2003
This review is from: Dance Nation 6 (Audio CD)
This is the CD that got me into clubbing dance music (I eventually evolved into a prog house fan). The Brandon Block disc is typical MOS cack, a bunch of top hits strung together. The Tall Paul disc, however, is easily the best CD to come out of the late 90s/early 00s MOS compilation glut. He actually put some thought into the track selection and goes from nice ibiza house beats, into a touch of NRG and then into trance. It is worth the price alone for Fred & Ginger - Slam Jam, a really bouncy energy track with a mental orchestral strings breakdown that will having you grinning ear-to-ear. Brilliant, feel-good track. A really top CD, and it even includes the only good version of ATB - 9pm.

Slammin'!! Buy it and make tapes for the people you love!, August 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Dance Nation 6 (Audio CD)
The Ministry of Sound has a reputation for putting out slammin' music, and Dance Nation Six lives up to that reputation. I first heard this CD in a clothing boutique in San Francisco and went mad trying to hunt it down! If you can get your hands on this... and you love to dance - this two CD set will set you free!

This one is supposed to have done really well in the UK and if you're into dance, house or the Ministry Of Sound this is worth taking a look at.

ministry of sound is the club in europe. be it at ibza or london, ministry has been putting out the best dance for years. this is no different. although lacking the power of van dykes "for an angel, the cd enpowers you through tunes such as my life. the best of europe

it's about the skills, March 31, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Dance Nation 6 (Audio CD)
Well, I can actually only speak for disc 2...but i thought that some of the reviews were pretty weak, soo. being a dance nation its kinda like a clubbers guide to ministry in that it is made to rock and it at least has more undergroundish stuff not being from a major label...but it is still not underground. thats why i say its about the mixing skills. i've not heard anyone put records together like tall paul does, and for that reason he takes you for this bumping through house chill session where he makes you smile....then he bangs you into trance... its a nice evolution. he also does it in such a way that the more popular tracks don't stand out...they flow... so good dj. but i think if you want more about tall paul...go with duty free. that's what i've been told at least... still this cd, while not PHAT! is a nice good listen.
