i bought this game for my 7 yr old sister and my 4 yr. old brother to play together, but it wasn't what i expected. I thought that the songs from all the disney movies would be like the classics, but instead they are sung by some lady, and not like in the movie i may ad. the kids who love disney movies and watch them all the time didn't even recognize them until i told them or half way through the song. Also, you cant be any of the characters from the disney movies like it says except for mickey and mini. the other characters just look ridiculous.
it is still a little hard for both of them as well and again they are 4 and 7.

I bought this for myself and my daughter who is five. It is just a little too hard for her - I think she'll be ready for it at 6. I was hoping to get a good workout from this but I can't get past the music which is aimed at young children and there isn't a very big selection of music. My daughter will grow into the difficulty of it but the music is really not her cup of tea either - she would also prefer a different soundtrack. I think I would have been better off just buying the DDR Hottest Party. At least I have the mats.

my friend and i purchased this game as we just recently started playing ddr games. we expected the songs to be the originals and to be dancing to the songs of our childhood, but they are all remixed versions and are not that great. if you are hoping to get the real thing-think again.

My kids are 7, 5 & 2 and they really enjoy this game! There are a variety of settings available so the kids are able to pass levels even when they are in the very uncoordinated stages. It is a little tricky to set-up the game to their level and there are a lot of steps that ask questions and may require basic reading. Once your non readers get the hang of it, they will be able to select what they want just fine though.
The music is not traditional Disney music (that we have seen yet). But, it is upbeat and the lyrics are positive for kids. Overall I would say that it is appropriate for kids of a variety of ages. I haven't seen anything offensive or inappropriate and the dance moves are all clean so far. I am glad that my young children are able to play such a fun game at their young ages without being exposed to music and dance moves that are too old for them. I would suggest this game, they have fun and even when my son just jumps up and down on the mat and doesn't try, he doesn't hurt his sister's score, so they can play together without fighting about it. I would suggest at least two mats, multi player is great especially for the really young siblings and friends.

We bought Disney Groove and DDR 3 at the same time. We thought that our older kids would like DDR and that our younger kids would find it easier and more fun to hit Disney Grooves. We discovered that while the music was what we expected, Disney Grooves is actually more difficult to dance to than DDR. DDR's basic setting is actually easier than the simple setting on DDR. That was a big surprise because you would expect that Disney would know who they target on a game like this. My 8 and older kids could care less about Disney music. It's my 4 year old. Sadly, while everything works in the game, it's just not playable.

This game is so much fun! I don't even have kids and I lose track of time playing it. It has a great selection of the old Disney songs, some of which have been redone and others have been left in their original form. If you prefer the newer Disney Channel songs you will be dissappointed because there are no Jonas Brothers or Hannah Montana songs, but if you love the classics you'll enjoy this. They did a good job keeping it interesting- you have to unlock new songs, outfits and backgrounds which actually teaches you how to play better as you go. As with all Wii DDR games, the hand controls can be a little annoying to get to register until you figure out a system that works for you. There is a neat friendship mode which kind of splits up the scores of the people playing so it's not quite as competetive if you're playing with younger kids or people who are bad losers :). In my opinion, the best thing about this game is that you can play without having to hear any offensive lyrics or having to see half naked dancers strutting in front of you like some of the other DDR games I've played. I highly recommend it!

We got this for our daughters ages 12 and 10 for Christmas. They are really enjoying it. The music is appropriate so I know I don't have to go through the entire song list and ban songs that they should not hear. I don't think boys would enjoy this game as much as girls. We like it and hope there will be more games available to use with the mats.

This is a fun game for kids. Purchased for my grandkids and they enjoy it. A little to slow paced for the others in the family. But very much what we were hoping for in the product.

This DDR seemed to be a fair bit easier than the first Hottest Party... This is a good thing, as I can't get above "basic" in Hottest Party. :)
I am a huge DDR fan, so I was quite excited about the Disney version. Yes, most of the songs are remixed. In general I would say the mixes are pretty good, though some were just weird (seriously, how do you destroy Hakuna Matata like that?). There are a lot of really fun songs on here, and I am enjoying working towards "perfect perfect" scores (though I still struggle in expert mode). I was pleased that the "Groove Mode" where you unlock stuff was reasonable, and I was actually able to unlock everything. As usual, hand motions are poorly detected and should be turned off unless you want to frustrate yourself. However, in dance-offs they are automatically re-enabled. While this is annoying, and will likely make you work hard on some of the dance-offs to unlock songs, they are still feasible. I have finally mastered a punching motion that gets most of the hand markers detected, but it did take practice. I still advocate turning off hand markers whenever possible. Overall, a great addition to the Wii DDR collection.

The dance choreography is good, but I was disappointed that the music was not the originals from the movies/TV shows. It's also not the best of the Disney songs, ie The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, etc., but the older stuff.
