Ultramix 4 needs improvement. The background is very distracting (like an LSD trip in the movies) and makes it hard to follow the arrows while you are dancing. It is definitely not for anyone prone to migraines or seizures. The grading is harsher than Ultramix 2. Whereas you would pass in Ultramix 2, you fail in this game. When you fail, the game ends, and you don't get the exercise. The whole point for us is to get a good workout in a fun way. We recommend Ultramix 2 over this one.

Most everything about the mix is great,(though the songs in ultramixes 2 and 3 are better overall) the biggest thing for me is getting the "power mode". It is in Party mode (when u earn it or put a code in for it like I did :)) It has 5 power mixes all about 4-5 songs long each...keeps your stamina up and builds alot of endurance...Mix 4 and 5 are the best...you'll burn a ton of calories doing these mixes...A++ on that.

This DDR was good. The only thing was the music selection, There was alot of new music but it wasn't my taste. I enjoyed playing DDR 3 much better. One thing DDR 4 has over DDR 3 is QUEST MODE!!! The quest mode looks sooo much more better and interesting.

This is a great product. I got this for myself to help me lose weight but when the kids saw it, I was lucky to get on it. My son was on it for about 3 hrs stright, his face was red. It has a calorie counter, you can slow it down and learn the dance steps. It has a freestyle of which you just go as fast as you can and compete with the computer. My son really like that one. It even has karaoke but you need the xbox microphone to do that. Nice fun was to get fit.

We have DDR's 1-4 now. We enjoy the new music. The only complaint I have is that the graphics used in the background sometimes overpower trying to see the dance arrows. I wish background visuals were an option that the user could control.

I have to say, I originally bought this game for my 10 yr. old daughter, however my 16 yr. old son is using it more than she is!!! It's quite challenging at first, but once you get the hang of it--it's so much fun. I like the fact that there are different levels and even a lesson mode for beginners. I really like that it is a video game that gets your video game addict off the couch & up and moving (if you have the dance pad). If you have a kid that is using or will use it daily I highly recommend the upgrade pads with the foam inserts or (if you can afford it) the metal arcade type pads for better durability & higher scores.

Is it just me or is DDR2 Ultramix still the best? I do believe the story mode is easier then DDR3 Ultramix, however it has the same problem as DD3, where there are not a whole lot of techno-j-pop type songs that I love DDR for. DDR1 and DDR2 are still my favorite. This songs seem to move slower and the steps seem to be less complex the other versions. Overall I think it will appeal to younger players who are not big on techno. If you are a big fan of the old DDR songs, I would not suggest you upgrade to DDR4 Ultramix.

i got ddr for christmas but before that i used to go to my aunts house to play it and that is all i could do. its addicting, good for your health full of excersize and now i can play it in my own home and im loving it. so anyone who is debating to buy take my advise buy it!!!!

A very active game like all the other DDR series.
Had great music and is easy for beginners to start with.

My son whom is 16 absolutely loves this.
He gets his exercise and has fun at the same time.
The different levels are great to keep a teenager's interest.
highly recommended, great visuals.
