When I ordered this game my husband laughed at me and said he wouldnt be caught dead on it. Liar..he cant dance at all but I keep catching him on "MY" ddr. Its a blast, I think I may have lost a couple of pounds--woo hoo and its great fun when we have friends over. I still cant believe that my husband LOVES this game. Its so funny and the poor clumsy guy just seems so proud of himself. Now if I could only get my cute little grandma on it.

Bought the bundled game and pad:
Game:
The game has a new user mode, good for newbies who need training.
It was not clear that you could only play 2 players if you had two pads (or the handheld controller), otherwise you must log in/out of your xbox to switch XBox live accounts between songs if you want to save your game.
There seem to be very few hits / radio songs with many being similar versions of the same old beats.
The animations are rather simplistic and graphics appear almost pixillated on a big screen HDTV.
Would have tried playing against others on XBox Live, but could never find any matching dance partner. I think most others have already given up on this one.
The quest mode is a pain in the behind because many of the quests require you to do things that most of the random songs do not have, so even when completing a song with high marks, you still fail.

Overall, This game was a bit disappointing after what I remember playing so many a time at the arcade. I wish I had read the other product reviews prior to buying. Looking now, I should have paid a little extra for Universe 2 or 3.
However, the game is ok for a cheap starter and my wife and I have had hours of fun playing. Any game that gets you off your seat is a plus. This one will make you sweat, so dress appropriately.

We bought this game for our xbox 360 at the office. It's a nice little break from the work day and gives everyone a chance to get a little exercise. DDR Universe has a huge song selection. Another nice feature is that you can enter in some information about yourself to find out how many calories you have burned while playing. If you get more than one dance pad, you can compete against your friends. DDR Universe is a lot of fun and is great to play on your own, or as a party game.

My wife and I both enjoy this game, its a great workout and the music is compelling.

This is as much fun as the arcade version. The user interface when dealing with multiple players isn't that great and the 'party games' are somewhat non obvious (w/o reading the manual) and buggy (playing some of them with 1 controller attached causes the 360 to hang and require a power cycle). The main game and included music is great though so these minor issues shouldn't scare anyone away.

I have all 3 DDRU games for xbox 360 now and they keep me busy. I use the game primarily for exercise. The variety of songs on each version is ok, and when I get bored with one, I just switch to another one. If I go a couple days without playing DDR, I start to miss it! And, I'm not even that much of a video game player.

We've really enjoyed this game. Our only complaint is that the music is not really our preference. It was obviously intended for a younger audience. Regardless, we've had a lot of fun playing.

For the true DDR fans who are looking for those songs you started playing 5-10 years ago, this game comes pretty close. Yes, they are songs you may not recognize, some a little unnecessary, but overall I am so glad I chose this version. The songs on this game are songs that should actually be on a DDR game, not the latest "top hits" as many newer games now have. If you are like me and started playing DDR on the PS2 ages ago, you will like this version. Definitely a great and fun way to workout!

Some minor problems: there seems to be trouble with calibrating the arrows with the tempo, but can be fixed by trial and error of changing the arrow timing. The different arrow colors are very hard to see if you leave them on default, I would suggest putting them on "note" setting (the old red, blue, yellow, and green arrows). Issues with the loading screens happen occasionally, after a song ends the game might take a few minutes to go to results, so I usually need to step on start/select or back to make it work. The song difficulty on this version is true through the beginner to expert modes, so that leaves the last problem...the songs are actually difficult to play, but that's how it should be! Hope this helps future buyers :)

I thought this was going to be a simple game, however it is much harder than it actually looks. It is a good workout. I do have to say that the user interface takes some getting used to. The music on basic level also doesn't match the arrow movements with the beat unless you change the arrow pace to 1.5-2.0 times the normal speed. I found the setting by chance, which has made it much easier to successfully perform the movements.
