Good Soundtrack, bad price,

This is perfect if you want the soundtrack for DDR Extreme Game (Japanese Version). It has all the great songs from the game. The only thing is, I don't think its worth the 47 Dollar price tag. This is a buy if your a fan of DDR music. Just check other places for lower prices.

I was first introduced to ddr by a friend, and I immediatly fell in love. As i got better I realized that DDRMAX2 wasnt the newest DDR game. I looked online and found that the newest DDR game was DDR Extreme. I looked on [a website] to find the closest one and I went there. The songs on DDR extreme were better than all the other DDR mix's put together. I would recomend this to anyone whos as much of a ddrfreak as i am, and for the record I would give this more stars if i could.

Um, first thing just a reminder: Be pretty careful if u are gettin the PS2 version, the case looks like a DVD case and the game says PS2 at the top, lol. I was disappointed to hear that the song A was not on the Japanese song set of DDR Extreme. I thought that all the song sets were the same Korean and Japanese cuz my local DDR machine is the Korean one. This cd has alot of good songs but for me, DDR max has way better songs.

Great Soundtrack,

This is a great sound track, the only thing I could see wrong with it, was that it doesn't have as many songs as the previous Dance Dance Revolution soundtracks have had. It only has up to 37 songs on each CD. But the music selection is great. This is a good CD to add to your collection.

Oh my god, this cd was totally worth every single penny I spent. Once you press play, a never ending session of DDR Awesomeness begins. I've only said this before about the album Viva La Vida, but I enjoy every song on this DDR collection!

Overpriced, But Otherwise a Good Soundtrack,

This item is incredibly overpriced, but is otherwise exactly what it claims to be- a sountrack of DDR Extreme. The copy I pruchased actually contained 2 disks, one copy with the actual songs used in DDR and another copy of the songs as they would sound if your were playing DDR. The DDR version of some of the songs are slightly different and include the voice of an announcer speaking as if you are playing DDR and getting a perfect score, with such phrases as "P-P-P-Perfect!" and "100 Combo!", which is strange but probably the reason they feel justified for charging so much.

I noticed someone said this doesnt work with the dancepad. That is because this is the music cd for DDR, not the game. Thats why you're having trouble ^^;;

Can't get enough of it,

One day I walked into the arcade and came across a game called DDRExtreme. I saw how good people were at it and thought, "Hey, I want to do that too." I've been playing DDR every Sat. at the arcade for over a month now. I can't get enough of it! It's seriously addicting, and the music is great too. My favorite songs are "Drop the Bomb" "Butterfly" and "I do I do I do" Try the game sometime and get the music too, they're both awesome!

Overated. And too much trance/speed.,
By Michael Bortnyck "Soundboz" (Dallas, TX USA) - See all my reviews

After being a LONG time veteran of Dancemania albums, I was quite happy to hear that some "Speed" and "classic" songs were popping up in DDR.
After plopping down 30$ on this album, I'm pretty dissapointed. Many of the songs that are by Konami are pretty attrocious. 1998 and Paranoia Survivor are the only songs that really do Konami (Well, more Naoki) justice. The many dancemania songs that are scattered throughout the cd are highly shortened versions (average time: 1:30 seconds.) of the originals that appear under the Toshiba Emi Labeling co. Even songs like Speed Over Bhetoven have parts cut out (Rose's "lalala" song in favor of the chorus being repeated a lot) to make room for another singing of the chorus. While I'm pretty sad that DDR is no more, pick up some of the older albums (4th, 5th, or Party Collection) for a more unique feel. Too much trance and speed... |
