I heard one of the songs "colors" on a Dell commercial one night and immediately jumped online to see who sang it. To my delight I found that it was from a children's CD - Dance for the Sun. I'm a Sunday school teacher - and I ordered it immediately. I love "black dog in the river" - and plan to use the "namaste song" in my classroom. They are all yoga songs - but there are 13 songs with no yoga instructions as well. This CD is a fun, Spirtual, beautifully sung, fabulous chance for kids to learn! YAY for Kira Wiley!!

I too heard "Colors" on the Dell commercial and went to Amazon to learn more about the song. I was ecstatic to find out it was from a kid's yoga CD because I'm a yoga teacher. I downloaded the whole album; it's perfect! Thank you Kira Willey!

I heard the song 'colors' on a Dell commercial (thank you) and quickly ran to amazon to try to find it. (Note: this isn't the first time I've done this... also got the truckstop song on the Hardee's commercial).

Anyway, was I surprised to find out this was a kid's yoga cd. Of course I love the 'colors' song but the rest of the cd is nice as well, although it is definitely geared for kids. The end of the cd is gives kids guided instruction of simple yoga postures.

I love this CD! I am a mom and a children's yoga teacher. Both of my children (ages 3 and 1) love to listen to this CD, and my 3 year old sings along. As a yoga teacher, this CD has lots of great songs that can be incorporated into a yoga class, and has given me fun ideas for teaching.

The first half of the CD are songs, and the second half of the CD are the same songs, but with yoga instructions. The instructions are very easy to follow, and you can hear adorable commentary from the children in the class.

I highly recommend this CD for parents and children's yoga teachers.

This is a great cd for kids to do yoga. The only thing that would make it better would be a video.

The songs are great and I have a few favorites on the ipod. "Colors" and "Surfer Mama" are the best! The tracks have music only, then the second half of the tracks have a voice-over with yoga instruction that corresponds with each song. They will get your heart pumping, legs shaking and you'll sweat A LOT!

My two year old loves this music so much she'll ride in the car without complaining when it's on (she has always hated her car seat). She is intrigued by West Africa and the Djembe because of track 14. This lovely CD is also the only thing that my daughter enjoys that I can stand to listen to over and over and over again (Dora for example is great, but it drives me crazy after watching it a few times). Some days I drop my little one off at daycare and keep listening to Dance for the Sun all the way to work!

I loved this CD and my granddaughter loves the CD. After she listened to my downloaded version, she kept requesting the Catapillar song over and over again. So I ordered the CD from Amazon.com and bought her a little yoga mat. Now we can do yoga together!

We first heard Kira Willey's "Caterpillar Caterpillar" song on a compilation CD and my then 10-month old son crawled over to the stereo, pulled up on our safety gate and started to dance. I had never seen him do anything like that before, and we play music all the time. I knew I had to buy the full CD, and I have not been disappointed. The songs on "Dance for the Sun" all have a great beat, but are kind of folky, and Kira's voice is beautiful and mellow. It is definitely kids music (because of the subjects and the kids on the CD), but all the adults who have heard it played in my house love it. My son (now almost a year) also loves this CD and never tires of it. When he's upset, we often sing "Caterpillar Caterpillar" to him, and he calms down. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who likes music.

I teach children's yoga, primarily to kids ages 3-7, and this CD is incredible! She provides 2 tracks of each song- the "yoga track" gives the music with her voice instructing the children what to do, the other track is just the music (so if you want to teach the class you can do it without her voice instructing as well while the music is playing). I found it helpful to use the yoga track version when I was teaching a new song to the kids, so I could spend more time helping and demonstrating the poses. After we all knew the song well, we transition to using just the music version. The songs are fun, light, and engaging for children, and NOT annoying like some kid's CDs. :) This is the best kid's yoga CD out there, in my opinion. Can't recommend it highly enough!
